On Sunday 9 December, the public was invited to join the gallery for the unique opportunity to visit artist Gregor Kregar's studio in West Auckland and to celebrate the launch of Gregor Kregar: Reflective Lullabies, the most comprehensive publication on his work to date.
Gregor Kregar's practice is described by Rhana Devenport as 'invitational, spatially alert and socially complex.' The monograph Gregor Kregar: Reflective Lullabies explores the multi-faceted nature of Kregar's practice, featuring essays by Mark Amery (art critic and writer), Bruce E. Phillips (writer and curator), Dr. Zara Stanhope (Curatorial Manager, Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art) and Dr. Lara Strongman (Head Curator, Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū), with a foreword by Rhana Devenport ONZM (Director, Art Gallery of South Australia).
