Lives in Auckland, New Zealand

As a new media artist Hye Rim Lee works across 3D animation, digital, sculptural and performance platforms. Since she began exhibiting in 2002 Hye Rim Lee has exhibited widely in Europe, the USA and Asia Pacific.

Her exhibition history includes inclusion in shows at Trondheim Kunstmuseum, Trondheim, Norway(Lips Painted Red, 2013);Beirut Exhibition Center (BEC), Lebanon (Glasstress Beirut, 2012); The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei, Taiwan(Future Pass, 2012); Festival Miradas de Mujeres, Madrid, Spain(Indomitable Women, 2012); and in a collateral of the 54th Venice Biennale(Future Pass Palazzo Mangilli-Valmarana, Venice, 2011) and the 53rd Venice Biennale(Glasstress Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti, Venice, 2009).

Notable collections include the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery, Adam Art Gallery, Te Papa Tongarewa, The University of Auckland, Ernst&Young, Saatchi&Saatchi NZ, Hara Museum, National Museum of Contemporary Art Korea, Seoul Museum of Modern Art and major private collections worldwide.

Gow Langsford Gallery has represented Hye Rim Lee since 2013.
