Reuben Paterson
Reuben Paterson’s screenprints are unique in that each work is hand-finished with a glitterdust surface. These screenprints encompass images from four major series of Paterson’s work: kowhaiwhai patterning, palm tree landscapes, his kaleidoscopic paintings and fabric designs.
Inspired by his installation at Riccarton House in Christchurch in 2004, Paterson created the animated work, Te Putahitanga o rehua, which memorises with its black and white surging optical patterns. This work is available as a limited edition DVD, with each work signed and editioned by the artist.
